FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does a jar of La Vache tallow last?

La Vache has a shelf life of 6–8 months. That said, I doubt any jar will last you that long—it’s just that good!

How and where do you apply the tallow moisturizer?

When applying tallow, remember that a little goes a long way! The cream is rich and deeply moisturizing, so start with a small amount and add more as needed. I use it all over my face and body. If your skin is prone to breakouts, start with a tiny amount and see how your skin reacts or skip the face and apply it only to your body and neck. You can also use it as a spot treatment- many use it on their cuticles, elbows and other dry spots.

La Vache Tallow is special because it’s made with only natural and high quality ingredients. I don’t use any fillers or carrier oils, as I want the formula to be as pure as possible. There are no added preservatives—tallow naturally contains Vitamin E, which acts as a natural preservative.

What makes La Vache special?

Our tallow comes from happy, healthy, grass-fed cows raised by my in-laws on their family-run cattle farm. I’ve seen firsthand how well the animals are treated. Repurposing the tallow is both sustainable and supportive of local Texas farmers.

Where does the tallow come from?

Store your tallow moisturizer in a cool, dry place. It doesn’t need to be refrigerated and is fine at room temperature—just avoid leaving it in a hot car or direct sunlight for long periods.
